I saw Neil Thiese give this talk on “complexity and not-self” at Zen Brain this year and it is well worth watching. Neil is a treasure. One of the greatest stem cell researchers, a longtime Zen Buddhist, and as he says, “at the Plank scale a nice Jewish boy” (those of you who know anything about quantum physics should be laughing). His latest collaboration with Menas Kafatos, one my favorite quantum physics philosophers, has yielded another great talk by Neil. Enjoy!
